EGA: Friday, January 28th
FORMAT: 72-hole strokeplay
Six British players qualified for the final round of the Portuguese International Ladies Amateur Championship at Montado today.
England Surrey star Lottie Woad is the highest-placed Brit in tenth but is eight shots back of leader Francesca Fiorellini (Italy). The Italian Girls champion is two clear of France’s Maylis Lamoure with a duo of players a further shot back on six under.
Buckinghamshire’s Olivia Lee had an eventful day. Four birdies and three bogeys during her final seven holes saw her finish with a two-under-par 70 and she moved up to 18th.
Northumberland’s Rachel Gourley just made it in thanks to an excellent 71. The Arcot Hall player opened the tournament with a nightmare 81 but has fought back superbly and has pulled it back to nine over.
England Girls champion Patience Rhodes has improved each day and plays tomorrow’s final round on six over, Amateur champion Louise Duncan is one shot further back after third-round 74 and her international teammate Jasmine Macintosh is another shot behind on eight over.
