1) How many events will you be attending in your role as Captain?
40.
2) Thing you are most looking forward to about being The Captain?
Working with the County squad, both at training sessions and County Match Week (June 26-29).
3) Favourite ‘other’ course outside your county?
Silloth is a very challenging course which, depending on which way the wind is blowing, can be like playing four different courses. The Par three ninth, on the Solway coast, can be particularly tough. I have played it, when you had to hit shots towards Scotland – 90 degrees to the green – just to give yourself a chance of finding the putting surface. The 17th and 18th can be par fives or par threes depending on the wind!
4) Best round of golf you have played in your county?
Winning the Doris Chambers Cup at Delamere Forest GC
5) Is there anything slightly unusual that you will have to do as Captain of the CCLGA?
Washing all the team kit!
