30 of the world’s best female amateur golfers tackle the legendary Augusta as they bid to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur. We are following the fortunes of Curtis Cup stars Caley McGinty (Knowle GC) and Hannah Darling (Broomieknowe GC) as they bid to taste victory at the home of The Masters
7.40pm: Latanna Stone misses the par putt on 18 and 16-year-old Anna Davis is the Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion. Imagine winning at Augusta when you’re still in high school!
7.36pm: It was the biggest chip of Latanna Stone’s life and she has fired it 25 feet past. If she misses 16-year-old Anna Davis will be the 2022 Augusta National Women’s Amateur champion
7.32pm: Pretty good effort off the pine needles from Latanna Stone at 18. She now needs to get up and down from about 18 yards to force a play-off. Wallin, who needs a birdie to draw level with Davis, puts her second in the bunker so looks out of it.
7.29pm: Stone in trouble off the tee at 18 and 16-year-old Anna Davis is now favourite to win Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
7.26pm: Stone misses the bogey at 17 and is back to -1 and Wallin is still in with a chance if she can birdie 18. What a finish!
7.24pm: Good putt from Stone but she has 6 feet for bogey. Wow this is getting very tense now
7.20pm: Stone chips to 30 feet. This is wide open now. A bogey would be a good score for the American. This could get very interesting!
7.18pm: Agony for Anna Davis as a brilliant birdie attempt at 18 and had that dropped she would have put extra pressure on the leader. The 16-year-old posts -1 and it’s not all over as Stone misses the green in 2 at 17.
7.13pm: Stone (-3) holes the putt and is two ahead with two to play and to say she has a spring in her step is the understatement of the century
7.06pm: What a shot from Latanna Stone at 16. A great chance for birdie at the par three and if she holds it it could be all over.
7.00pm: Stone shaves the hole at 14 and stays -2. What finish this could be. Davis is one behind but 2 holes ahead so could set the target.
6.50pm: Caley McGinty finishes on +5. A fantastic effort from the Knowle Golf Club star.
6.40pm: Ingrid Lindblad sets a great target. A superb -4 round from the Swedish amateur means she finishes level par.
6.30pm: Big move at the top as Stone moves to -2 and Lindblad is back to level par.
6.20pm: Another bogey for Caley McGinty the Knowle GC player is +2 or her round and +5 for the tournament
6.16pm: 16-year-old Anna Davis joins the leaders on -1. What a story could this could be for the American
5.57pm: Caley McGinty double bogeys the legendary 14th and that’s got to be the end of the Gloucestershire player’s challenge. She is 5 back of Lindbland and Stone.
5.51pm: Just three shots separate the top 9 players
5.46pm: Swedish star Ingrid Linblad has surged into contention with a birdie on 14 and eagle on 15. She is co-leader on -1 with Caley McGinty three behind with 5 left to play.
5.44pm: Eagle-hunting Lindblad (+1) and Stone (-1) looking good. Both hit brilliant approaches and if Caley McGinty (+2) is going to challenge she needs a big finish.
5.37pm: Back-to-back birdies from Latanna Stone (-1) means Caley McGinty (+2) is now three back with five holes to go while Hannah Darling has just finished on +12 after shooting a 79 (+7)
5.22pm: We are just waiting for Sky to start actually covering it. Yay… a play-off from South Africa is taking precedent!
5.15pm: Evening. We are set for an amazing finish with the pride of Gloucestershire and @knowlegolfclub Caley McGinty battling it out to win the Augusta National Women’s Amateur
