England Golf awards for Dylan Shaw-Radford, Seckford GC and Sherwood Forest GC plus Saltford junior stalwart is honoured
England Boys champion Dylan Shaw-Radford won the Performance of the Year award at the annual England Golf awards in Manchester last night.
The Yorkshire teenager enjoyed a stellar 2022, bagging the Carris Trophy at Silloth, The Scottish Boys Open, the Henry Cooper Masters and the Justin Rose / Daily Telegraph Junior Golf Championship.
The Huddersfield junior won’t be 18 until May so will have the opportunity to defend all those titles this year as well as testing himself in all the main men’s events.
He saw off Spanish Amateur and Lytham Trophy champion John Gough for the prize. Also nominated were British Girls champion Lottie Woad and the England Women’s team, who defended their European Team title.

Seckford were named Club of the Year. The Suffolk outfit was rescued from the brink of bankruptcy in 2020 and it is now flourishing while Sherwood Forest collected the Venue of the Year prize after hosting the England Boys U-16s.
The Lifetime Service Award went to Somerset’s David Phillips. He has spent 36 years overseeing the junior section at Saltford.
