Aldwark Manor to welcome golfers from June 1 onwards
A renowned Yorkshire resort’s golf course is due to reopen in June following a £15m upgrade.
The Aldwark Manor Estate’s 18-hole lay-out, which winds alongside the picturesque River Ure, has been totally revamped over the last six months and will once again welcome players from June 1 onwards.
It is part of a massive investment in the North Yorkshire estate, which is located between Harrogate and York. A further £22m is due to be spent on the hotel, conference facilities and spa with 40 additional bedrooms set to be available by the summer of 2025.
Chris Lawton, golf manager at Aldwark Manor Estate, said: “Our new golf offering has been eagerly anticipated, so we couldn’t be more thrilled to be launching our new course which offers 18 challenging holes.
“In true Aldwark style, the new offering is no ordinary golf course, and we look forward to surprising golfers with some difficult yet incredibly enjoyable holes.”
Visiting golfers will also have the opportunity to stay in tailored golfing accommodation – there are 11 new bedrooms available – and take advantage of the recently-opened sports bar and restaurant, aptly named Bunkers.
And to celebrate the upcoming reopening, an exclusive 200-member subscription is being opened up with all the usual club membership benefits – unlimited golf for 12 months plus free use of the England Golf and BRS apps for tee time bookings, competitions, general play scorecard entry and more.
Christophe Gitton, estate director at Aldwark Manor Estate commented on the Manor’s renovation: “Never a place to do things by halves, the team have worked tirelessly to create a new golf experience that well and truly demonstrates the Aldwark difference.
“While respecting Aldwark’s incredible past and beautiful present, we’re looking forward to creating an even greater future with further estate additions.
