Haste Hill’s Paul Dimmer was the only player in the Middlesex Handicap Championships to shoot under his par, leading his team to the title at Pinner Hill GC.
The 12-handicapper claimed an impressive 39 points, three clear of North Middlesex’s Phil Daly. Tricky pin positions and strong winds certainly tested the skills of the 61 entrants.
After a mixture of bogeys and pars on the front nine garnered him 19 points, a birdie at the par five tenth kicked off his back nine in great style and four more pars lifted him to 20 points on the way back.
Paul, together with Jacky Wonghen (30pts), Stuart Cella (23) and Clive Stasin (22) took the team prize with the best three scores contributing to their 92-point total.
