Huge boost for Elexis Brown Golf Foundation at Leicestershire venue
More than £6,000 was raised at the second Elexis Brown Golf Foundation Charity Day at Kirby Muxloe.
The charity, that supports children with coaching, clubs and golf membership, hosted another excellent event, complete with auction while prominent supporter Hannah Bowen helped raise more than £1,000 by selling birdies on the par three 12th.
The foundation, which was recently awarded its charity status, is currently supporting five youngsters in Wales, the North West and the Midlands and the money raised last week will help a further two promising golfers.
Organiser Ben Peter said: “It was so lovely to get all that support and thanks to everyone who came and took part.
“The money raised will make a huge difference to the lives of players who might not have otherwise got the opportunity.”
