Elexis Brown Golf Foundation hosts first golf days for juniors at Nailcote Hall
Junior golfers have the chance to qualify for the Pro-Am at the star-studded British Par Three Championship courtesy of a new fund-raising competition organised by The Elexis Brown Golf Foundation.
Nailcote Hall near Coventry will host both events and first up is the inaugural Elexis Brown Golf Foundation Junior Competition on June 17th.
And the two boys and two girls with best gross scores will qualify for the Pro-Am in August. Sky Sports televises the four-day festival which attracts some of best known pros and sporting celebrities in the country.
Entry to the junior competition is just £20 per player and all proceeds will go to the not-for-profit organisation, which was set up last year in memory of Leicestershire-based golfer Elexis Brown, who died suddenly in 2021.
Her dad Ben Peter is hoping to build on the success of the inaugural Charity Golf Day that was held at Stonebridge last April. This year the fourball betterball challenge takes place at Kirby Muxloe on April 13th.

“Money raised on this day will be put back into the foundation and this will assist with the next year of support for junior golfers who are from disadvantaged backgrounds be that through health, disability, low income families or race,” said Ben, who has been working on getting the foundation charitable status.
“Our foundation aims to make golf accessible to all and we know the importance that sport plays on children from mental health, to fitness to team building and socialising.
“We chose Nailcote Hall for its great test of skills and because of the beautiful course, which is host to the British Par 3 Championship.
“Club owner Rick Cressman is a huge fan and supporter of junior golf and was supportive and happy to host this event. He himself commits a lot of his time to charity work.”
The Junior Competition has a raft of other prizes with entrants playing in three competition categories (0-18.4; 18.5-36.4; 36.5-54).
