Highest-placed woman will gain invite to showpiece Women’s English Masters
The leading female player at this year’s inaugural North West Club Champions Invitational will earn a place at the illustrious LET Access Women’s English Masters in September.
The Masters, won in 2022 by Northampton-based Lauren Taylor, is set to be one of the biggest professional events of 2023 for women. Launched last year, it will attract most of the country’s leading pros but 10 places have been set aside for amateurs.
And one of those has been allocated for the best-finishing woman at the inaugural NW Club Champions Invitational (CCI), which is also taking place at Hurlston Hall on July 10th.

It means there are now two fantastic prizes up for grabs for those taking part in the free-to-enter CCI. Hurlston’s other big tournament of the year is the North West PGA Masters and the overall winner of the CCI – male or female – will gain entry to that. It takes place on July 12-14.
Hurlston Hall general manager Lee Williams, who will also be the tournament director of the English Women’s Masters, said: “The inaugural North West Club Champions Invitational is clearly shaping up well.
“And with nearly half the entrants being women, we look forward to welcoming the leading female player to the Women’s English Masters in August.”
The 54-hole Women’s English Masters (September 1-3) will also form the centrepiece of the newly-established Lancashire Golf Week, which is designed to be a real festival of golf. It will incorporate a long-drive competition, hole-in-one challenge, celebrity Pro-Am – on August 31st – and gala dinner. There will also be coaching clinics and tour-fitting opportunities.
CCI organiser Mark Flanagan said: “Hurlston Hall Golf Club is the leading the way when it comes to showing what is possible in terms of putting on events that will live long in the memory.
“The Women’s English Masters is set to be a spectacular festival of golf. I have been lucky enough to see what Lee Williams and his team are planning and it really is extraordinary.
