More than 130 golfers turned out for a very special Texas Scramble at Beacon Park near Ormskirk on Sunday.
The Lancashire venue is set to close on March 31st and members – plus guests and former members – turned out in force, helping raise £2,250 for the captain’s charity (prostate cancer research). See below for pictures of some of those who took part.
The event was organised by Craig Riley with raffle prizes being donated by local businesses. It was meant as a show of what is still possible
West Lancashire Borough Council announced in December that Beacon Park, which opened in 1982, would be shut down and other leisure related ‘opportunities’ would be investigated.
